Established in 1971, Family Health International (FHI) is among the largest and most established nonprofit international public health organizations, managing research and field activities in more than 70 countries. With the goal of developing and introducing products on a global scale, FHI (www.fhi.org) has conducted multinational, multicenter clinical trials for clients around the world—with a particular focus on women's health and infectious disease, including HIV/AIDS.

FHI has a staff of more than 900 employees worldwide, with headquarters at Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, and a major office in Arlington, VA. FHI also has regional offices in Nairobi, Kenya and Bangkok, Thailand, in addition to offices in 30 other countries located in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. PharmaLink became an affiliate of FHI in 1999.
